In no limit holdem, being an aggressive bettor is better than not betting enough. Weak bets get calls and prices people into chasing cards relative to the odds making it profitable for people to draw. Even when you are drawing if you bet aggressively, you will win more often than not against better players.
In life not being aggressive will cost you opportunites, this is especially true in sales. people expect salesperople to be aggressive and when they are not they lose the sale.
